In reguards to schmee, I think he is nasim. I said the other day that I thought nasim was getting paid by Sony and he responded by saying that nasim was a PS3 developer and had all this inside info on nasim, so yah. He is probably nasim with a few more bubbles.
I bought my 42" 1080i plasma for $762, and despite the low price is a great tv. There are no 1080p tv's for under $1000 but there are hundreds if not thousands of 1080i and less models for under $1000.

You do know Visio is the most sold HDTV on the market, and is primarily sold at Walmart right? While they might not have a "big ol high definition tv" they do have 720p/1080i tv's, which is exactly what audience this player is reaching out to, the MAJORITY of HDTV owners, not the minority (1080p).
Its not, its 1080i I believe. Reguardless though, its a great deal for the price. Like I have said in a previous post, it is for the people that can't afford 1080p, like myself and most americans.
It was just a hunch at first, but as much as this guy stays on this site stating how great the PS3 is and is doing, their can be no other explaination. He posts constantly for like 8-10 hours a day, so either he goes to work and then comes home and spends 8-10 hours praising the PS3 on the internet instead of actually playing it, or the 8-10 hours on the internet praising it IS HIS JOB.

This player is not for people with 1080p televisions and 7.1 audio systems, those people already have the most expensive bluray and hd dvd players because they can afford extremely high priced electronics. ign has been around since way before Microsoft or sony decided to make gaming systems. I remember when their name was www.secretsofthesegasagas.com . It was the site I always went to for walkthroughs, cheats and reviews. They are, in my opinion, the most unbiased gaming site on the internet.
1) Didnt sell well on PS2
2) Most people that have a PS3 had a PS2 so they are either the ones that didn't buy it or already have it
3) PS3 owners can always get the original to play (unless of course the buy the new SKU)

Have you seen transformers? You should really see it in high def. I have transformers, knocked up, 300, the fountain and fear and loathing in las vegas on hd-dvd and they all kick much ass.
EDIT: I also only have a blockbuster in my home town but they dont even rent bluray movies here, but my town has only about 20,000 people in it. I do how ever rent HD DVD's from blockbuster online, then just take them back to the store and rent regualr DVD's that aren't on HD DVD.
I wouldn't call this peice positive PS3 news, unless you only read the peices that you decided to take from the story.

Whatever nasim. You know that the 360 sells more than 20k in EU. You were the one that submitted the VG charts for LAST WEEK and it sold over 38k accourding to them. And that was on a week where the PS3 dropped to 400 euros, the 360 still did 38k.
Has it been so long since you submitted that story that you can't remember? Or do you just like distorting facts?
